I. Introduction

 

The Mandarin Summer Program offers a special opportunity to learn Chinese, for those exchange students from the sister schools of National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the youths who are interested in learning Chinese. Besides, you can experience different culture and the beauty in Taiwan.

 

II. Course plan

 

  1. ApplicantsIndividuals or Groups, aged 16-30.
  2. Placement Test and Class SelectionStudents will be placed in learning groups according to their level of Mandarin proficiency. For this purpose, a Mandarin Proficiency Test will be conducted on the first day of the course. Beginners with no prior Mandarin training are welcome. Courses are provided by professional Mandarin teaching faculty.
  3. LocationLearning Resource Center (LRC), National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences.

  1. Class sizes8-12 students per class.
  2. Course Duration

Session I2013/7/8 (Monday) ~ 2013/7/28 (Sunday)

(Arrival: July 7, 2013 Departure: August 29, 2013)

Session II2013/8/5 (Monday) ~ 2013/8/25 (Sunday)

(Arrival: August 4, 2013 Departure: August 26, 2013)

  1. Attendance

Class Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 12:00 (at least 15 hours per week)

Field trip: Saturday, Sunday

7/13-14Su Ao Cold Spring,Sunrise on Taiping Mountain(Ilan County)

7/20-21Paper Church,Sun-moon Lake,Aboriginal Culture Village (Nantou County).

7/27-28North Coast Canoeing & Sightseeing (New Taipei City)

Course II

8/10-11Pottery & Dye Cultural Trip (Yingge, Sanxia, Taipei County),

8/17-18Little Wulai Skywalk (Taoyuan County)

8/24-25Former Capital Cultural Expedition (Tainan City)

    Whitewater Rafting, Aboriginal Cultural Village (Hualian County)

 

If you complete all courses of these program, we will award you a diploma.

 

IV. Payment

For 3-week course: US$1,600 (NT$45,000)  

FEE INCLUDES: registration fee, tuition, textbooks & class materials, also includes field trip meals, transportation, accommodation and entrance tickets, as well as accident & medical insurance cover of up to NT$1,000,000 and NT$100,000 respectively)

 

V. Special Discount(each student is entitled to one discount only)

Option I Early Bird

Course Fee of only US$1,460 (NT$41,000) if payment is received on or before 31 January 2013

 

Option II Group Bonus

2 Persons: Course Fee of only US$ 1,495 (NT$42,000) per person

       3 Persons: Course Fee of only US$ 1,475 (NT$41,500) per person

       4 Persons: Course Fee of only US$ 1,460 (NT$41,000) per person

. Dormitory Provided (optional)

Room Type: 4 persons per room (4 single beds)

       Price: NT$500 per day (including bedding, pillow and air conditioning)
